DOHA, QATAR — The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) officially launched a landmark initiative today to insource Qatari trainers within private educational and training service centers. Spearheaded by the Educational Services Centers Department, the program aims to elevate national talent and solidify the presence of Qatari experts in the country’s burgeoning continuing education sector.
The high-profile launch was attended by Her Excellency Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education, alongside HE Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry, and other senior officials and owners of educational centers.
Empowering a Knowledge-Based Economy
During a press conference marking the launch, Iman Ali Al Nuaimi, Director of the Educational Services Centers Department, emphasized that this initiative is a strategic response to the rapid growth of the private training sector. By empowering local cadres, the Ministry aims to enhance the quality of training outcomes and build a sustainable learning ecosystem.
The initiative has already seen an overwhelming response from the national community:
- Total Registered Trainers: 121 Qatari professionals.
- Gender Distribution: Women represent 80.2% of the participants, reflecting strong female leadership in the training sector.
- Expertise Levels: Over 9% of trainers possess more than 20 years of experience, with the majority holding between 5 and 20 years of specialized professional background.
Specialized Training for the Labor Market
The initiative focuses on high-demand specializations that directly align with the needs of Qatar’s modern labor market. The licensed trainers will provide expertise in several critical areas, including:
- Leadership & Management: Entrepreneurship, time and stress management, and leadership skills.
